Workday Training

Everyone who works for the Universities of Wisconsin will be trained to use Workday, whether you use the system to do your job or to manage your employment information.  Workday training for Universities of Wisconsin finance, human resources, procurement, and research administration staff will begin in March 2025. Instruction and support will continue after Workday goes live in July 2025.

Training Tenant

The Workday Training Tenant is available now! This tenant can be used in partnership with the CBTs, webinars, or in-person Workday trainings. Users should be able to log in with UW credentials. Employees who joined UW between Sept. 7 and Feb. 22 will have access after April 19.

Training Office Hours

Workday Training Office Hours are designed to support Workday learning and give staff who complete assigned trainings the chance to ask questions of subject matter experts (SMEs). These sessions will help clarify your understanding of Workday and fill information gaps you may have after you complete your assigned courses and review relevant job aids and how-to videos.

Workday Training Office Hours are optional and meant to supplement training.

Will training continue after go live?

Yes! Training will be ongoing after Workday is live. Workday will have two releases a year, and training will be an ongoing and consistent part of using Workday.

Do I need to pass a test?

Training courses include knowledge checks to reinforce key concepts throughout the course. Some courses may have a final knowledge check that provides a score to help you assess your learning. However, there is not a score required to pass the course.

Can we track who completed training?

Yes! We have a report to review who has completed their assigned trainings.

Can I take a training course I am not assigned?
