Who can attend Drop-in tutoring?

All students enrolled in the courses supported at the ULC are welcomed to attend Drop-in tutoring.

How does Drop-in tutoring work?

  • Students attend Drop-in on the days of their choice, based on the classes offered for each day.
  • Check-in at the front desk on the 3rd floor with your WisCard or CampusID number.
  • Staff at the front desk will direct you to the room/table for your course.
  • Enjoy tutoring and stay as long as you like!

The course I need assistance with is not currently available. Can I still attend Drop-in tutoring?

Tutors are only prepared to help with courses they have been assigned to tutor. Students may come to Drop-in and ask questions about other courses, but there is no guarantee the tutor can help with courses they are not as familiar with.

If there is a course the ULC does not currently offer that you would like to see being offered, please email suggestions to ulc@engr.wisc.edu.

How can I leave feedback for my tutoring session?

We appreciate your feedback! Help us improve our tutoring services by filling out our tutor feedback survey.

I am interested in becoming a tutor. How do I apply?

Review the Working for the ULC page to learn more about job descriptions and qualifications, and fill out an online application. For more information, contact ulc@engr.wisc.edu.
