For faculty: Research Mentor Training – Be Effective and Culturally Responsive in Your Mentoring Practice

Effective mentoring skills are key to developing a mutually beneficial, productive mentoring relationship. These skills will also help you make your research lab environment healthier and more productive. Through this workshop series you will:
- Explore mentoring strategies through case studies, discussions, and readings;
- Connect with colleagues, share your mentoring experiences, and problem-solve mentoring challenges; and
- Reflect on your mentoring philosophy and develop and/or enhance a mentor-mentee agreement.
The Fall 2025 session of Research Mentor Training will be held from 1:00 pm-3:30 pm CT on the following dates:
- Monday, September 8,
- Wednesday, September 10,
- Friday, September 12,
- Tuesday, September 16 and
- Thursday, September 18
