Construction Disruption

Dear faculty, staff and students:

Yesterday, construction crews began the first stages of work required to demolish a section of our Materials Science and Engineering Building ahead of a planned major utility project. This involved removing the sidewalk that runs along the east side of the building.

However, the contractor neglected to provide adequate notice that the exterior work was starting. As a result, you are receiving this message later than we had planned. Please avoid the area moving forward.

We are working with the contractor to install the proper signage, as soon as possible, directing you to alternate routes around the construction area.
Thank you for your cooperation and your patience as this project moves forward.
